African Gold Group, Inc: 33 New Drill Holes Advance Kobada Potential To Southwest Within “Zone 1”

30 May 2007

African Gold Group, Inc., is pleased to report the metallic assay results for 33 new diamond drill holes represented by hole KB07-14 and holes KB07-26 inclusive through to KB07-57.

Highlights include 35 meters of 1.27 g/t Au, 42 meters of 1.05 g/t Au, 17 meters of 2.05 g/t Au and 11.70 meters of 3.78 g/t Au.

RESULTS AND ANALYSIS

For coherence, the results from the 33 diamond drill holes have been organized according to the section the hole was drilled on as opposed to numerical order and are depicted in Table 1 below. Please see the attached map for the collar locations and trace of each hole and the respective section the holes were drilled on.

The drill core samples were both HQ and NQ size and were cut in half by a diamond saw on site. Half of the core from one meter long samples was shipped to Groupe de laboratoire ALS MALI SARL, located in Bamako, Mali and analyzed for gold by fire assay on a 50 gram sample charge. Metallic screen assays were also performed on all samples from within the mineralized zone. Standards and blanks were inserted alternatively every 20 samples submitted to the laboratory for analysis.

Director, Greg Hawkins, P.Geo, comments, “Drilling continues to confirm the continuity and size of the Kobada system. Our initial review of the drill data, contained within the historical data base, led us to anticipate that the average grade falls below 1.0 g/t Au from 18+50S to 21+00S, even though the width of the zone persists throughout the strike. Hole KB07-42, on section 22+50S, with 42.0 m of 1.05g/t Au attests to the continuity as does Hole KB07-54 on Section 24+00S with 17.00m of 2.05g/t Au. The shallow historical holes, that support this model within this region, are illustrated in Table 2 below.”

DIAMOND DRILL CAMPAIGN TO DATE

As of this date, the Company has drilled a total of 90 holes from 90 separate drill pads, generating a total of 18,960 meters of core. Of the total meters drilled to date, AGG has reported assay results for a total of 63 holes representing 11,461 meters of core. An additional 27 holes (KB07-58 through KB07-84) representing 7,509 meters of core have been delivered to Groupe de laboratoire ALS MALI SARL for analysis and the Company will publish the results upon receipt. A preliminary model of “Zone 1” will be constructed based on the data generated by the above mentioned drill campaign as well as the data contained within the historical data base.

EOPHYSICAL SURVEY UPDATE

To date, the ongoing geophysical survey has encompassed a grid that approximates 3 km x 3 km. This continuing initiative is generating excellent new targets that are coincident with extensive new artisinal operations that are regionally distinct from the 1.2 km “Zone 1” trend. Our current diamond drill campaign is focused on testing these distinct regional targets. The Company intends to issue a separate press release that more thoroughly details the ongoing IP geophysical survey and the anomalies that have been generated to date.

African Gold Group, Inc., based in Toronto, Canada, is engaged in the identification, acquisition and exploration of prospective gold projects that are situated along significant gold trends within West Africa. To date, the Company controls a total of nine gold concessions that are consolidated in five separate standalone exploration projects, of which three projects are located in Ghana and the remaining two are located in Mali, West Africa.
